How We're Staying Connected

And so begins our new normal - a new chapter in our lives where we're adjusting our routines to this unexplored realm of conducting business. As we all know, being face-to-face with our clients is our bread and butter. Nothing will ever replace dropping into an office to leave a few catalogs or meeting with your new prospects at coffee shops to break the ice.

But the greatest quality that we have as humans (and as marketers) is our ability to adapt to uncertain circumstances. And in these seemingly weird times, the world of promotional products is banding together to keep business moving forward.

Coffee Tables are the New Coffee Shops

Digital meetings and virtual sales calls will be the forefront of our efforts over the next few weeks. Now is the perfect time to hone your presentation skills by delivering meetings in a style that most of us might not be used to.

Make use of the space you're given and turn your den into a makeshift booth space. The more familiar we can construct our spaces, the more likelier we are to feel in our natural elements.

Ideas are the strongest tools that we have at our disposal right now, so let's not let our imaginations and creativity fall flat.

How-to videos and product reviews would be a great way to present unique items from a more personal point of view, and keeps you away from the standard catalog bullet points.

If pitching a product doesn't seem like the appropriate thing to do, strike up a friendly conversation about life. Ask about goals, dreams, and ambitions to get to know your clients better. These types of discussions will not only increase the likelihood of friendships down the line, but it lets our minds wander away from news feeds and headlines.

Don't forget to check in with team members on a daily basis. If there's anything that can get us back in a working groove, it's the spirit of our c̶o̶l̶l̶e̶a̶g̶u̶e̶s̶ friends that can give us a much-needed energy boost.

Setting Up Shop

Working from home isn't a strange new concept at all. In fact, by the end of 2019, about 43% of Americans have already been established within their homes and were conducting business with no issues. While that percentage might have seen an uptick within the last few weeks, those who are diving into this new world for the first time might run into a few roadblocks at the start.

For those adjusting from the office to home, it's important to establish new routines to get as comfortable as possible right off the bat.

Having a set schedule, knowing when to take breaks, and stepping outside to get some fresh air can play a huge role in adjusting to the new office.

And while the pajama party might sound tempting and comfortable, perhaps donning your usual office attire might get you out of a relaxed mood and more focused on the work in front of you.

Let's keep our heads high and take each new day as a new adventure. Remember: We're idea creators and problem solvers.

Today is the beginning of a great new journey; one that we'll navigate together, as we always have.

From our supplier friends to our distributor partners, we're here for you, ready to keep business going.
