One of the world's most prominent natural resources is cotton. The leading nations producing Cotton are Uzbekistan, India, China, and the United States. With the chaos and turmoil that 2020 brought us, we wanted to certify and ensure that the cotton used in our towels was ethically sourced and sustainably grown.
Terry Town has undergone the necessary steps to switch all of our 100% cotton beach towels to now be used with 100% US-grown cotton. By partnering with a non-profit organization, Cotton Council International, we can now be completely transparent to our customers about where our products are produced.
Cotton Council International aims to promote US-grown cotton around the globe with their trademark, Cotton USA. After undergoing an intensive audit process by a third-party auditor, Terry Town was able to get the approval of the CCI and use the Cotton USA labels on our 100% cotton beach towels.
The audit process of the CCI ensures that manufacturing companies overseas are fair and ethical, meaning the working conditions are clean and up to date on international standards.
